POSITION: Youth Outreach Project Director FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
STATUS: Full-time NORMAL
WORKING SALARY: $75K (grant funded)
HOURS/DAYS: MF; 9am to 5pm; Occasional evenings and weekends
Position Summary Statement:
Reporting to the Division Director, the Youth Outreach Project Director provides critical leadership in the development, implementation, monitoring, and internal evaluation of our Transitioning Youth programs. This role requires a dedicated and experienced professional with a background in project administration and supervision. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in both public school and after-school sectors and demonstrate the ability to anticipate and resolve potential issues efficiently; This position has direct reports.
Position Responsibilities:
· Provide strategic leadership and direction for the development and implementation of program initiatives.
· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the transitioning youth programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and grant expectations.
· Oversee the internal evaluation process to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality program delivery.
· Design and implement program plans, ensuring they meet the needs of participants and align with MSDE 21st Century Community Learning Centers standards.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to develop program content and resources.
· Ensure that all program activities are executed according to established timelines and guidelines.
· Oversee daily operations and provide guidance to program staff.
· Manage the recruitment, training, and supervision of program staff and volunteers.
· Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
· Identify potential challenges and develop proactive solutions to address them.
· Provide support and guidance to program staff in resolving operational issues.
· Foster strong relationships with school administrators, community partners, and other stakeholders.
· Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
· Ensure effective information dissemination and data collection processes
· Oversee the management and reporting of grant funds.
· Oversee program case management structure of transitioning youth services
· Ensure all program activities align with grant expectations and requirements.
· Prepare and submit required grant reports in a timely manner.
Mental, Physical, and Visual Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The ability to drive is a requirement of the position.
