Position Overview

If you’re a construction professional looking for the next step in your career, our team can provide you with a fun and challenging opportunity to grow with an industry leader. In this role, you’ll manage all aspects of public and private heavy civil construction projects of various sizes by preparing estimates and bid packages and managing each project through to completion. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact to communicate project costs, staffing, scheduling, and updates with contractors. As the Project Manager, you’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare time, material, equipment, production and labor estimates.
  • Consult with clients, vendors and others to discuss, resolve issues.
  • Maintain current and accurate information on prices from suppliers and contractors through direct contact and written materials.
  • Physically measure, assess the condition, and assist in takeoffs for estimate.
  • Manage projects awarded from scheduling, resource allocation, cost projections, and billing. 
  • Check daily cost sheets for correctness, compliance with estimated cost, and if over budget, find out why and report to management.
  • Prior to job startup, review with the job foreman the project plans, specifications and review the project startup list to ensure that each item is done.
  • Assist Estimating by providing feedback on job progress as opposed to as estimated.
  • Assist Estimating as available by performing field measurements determining sources.
  • Check that foreman’s job quantities are correct and submitted.
  • Maintain, in conjunction with the hot plant operator,
