Organization & Role

We are seeking exceptional and self-motivated individuals to support Mobile Industrial Robots (MiR) by ensuring optimal performance, uptime, and reliability of customer operations. The ideal candidate is excited to learn new things and willing to work through the details to get things done. This position will be based at our Georgetown, KY site. You must be available and willing to travel in North America as needed and be available for specific emergency on-call work. Depending upon business needs travel can vary greatly to as high as 30-40% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Provides comprehensive support including installation, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training, both on-site at customer locations, remotely, and within the in-house repair center.
  • Create and maintain good teamwork.
  • Assure that all customers’ problems are handled with a minimum delay and within the allotted time.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of robotic systems.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address inquiries, provide updates on service requests, and ensure overall satisfaction.
  • Document all service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions, in a detailed and timely manner.
  • Work safely following standard procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technological advancements and industry trends related to autonomous robotics.

 

 

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical systems, preferably in a robotics or automation environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a logical methodical manner.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
  • Establish and maintain a positive customer interaction experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage his/her workload to achieve deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong proficiency in computer-related skills
  • Good knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to use common power tools, hand tools, multi-meters, etc. to service products and troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to work from technical manuals, work instructions, work orders, and follow-up of historic troubleshooter findings and notes.
  • Must be available and willing to travel in North America as needed and be available for specific emergency on-call work. Depending upon business needs travel can vary greatly to as high as 30-40% of the time.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

 

Education

Certificate or Associate's Degree in Electro-mechanical Technoloy, Engineering, or relevant experience
