Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets to join our team. This role involves preparing monthly capitalization templates, reconciling fixed assets and construction-in-progress accounts, ensuring the physical existence of assets, and leading external audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in US GAAP, experience in the automotive or large-scale manufacturing industry, and excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
You Will:
- Prepare monthly capitalization templates in liaison with finance and operations personnel, in accordance with company policy.
- Reconcile fixed assets and construction-in-progress accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring accurate accumulation of costs and timely capitalization.
- Ensure the physical existence of assets by leading asset tagging assignments.
- Reconcile and review fixed assets and construction-in-progress accruals in coordination with finance and operations.
- Prepare internal controls on accounting processes and ensure compliance with SOX for fixed assets and related operations.
- Lead external audits for interim and year-end audit procedures.
- Partner closely with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, supply chain, logistics, production, FP&A, IT) to streamline workflows, reduce monthly close cycle time, and ensure continuous improvement in fixed assets processes.
- Implement automation initiatives in various components of the fixed assets process.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Minimum 4 years in US GAAP and financial accounting role.
- Proficiency in US GAAP (IFRS is a plus).
- CPA license or equivalent.
- Automotive industry experience preferred or experience in the large-scale manufacturing space.
- Working knowledge of SAP S4 Hanna or related manufacturing systems.
- Experience in building and leading a team with strong ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to build cross-functional partnerships and work in a collaborative environment.
- Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment and continuously evolve to meet changing business needs.
- Audit experience is a plus.
