About the Role 

Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant at Enclave, you will take charge of tracking, reporting, and reconciling project costs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financials. You'll oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly billings to financial institutions and title companies, representing the ownership group. Additionally, you'll conduct detailed project analysis to provide valuable insights to managers and ownership on project performance. As a key member of the accounting team, you will collaborate to support critical monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting processes, driving the success of our projects.

• Work Schedule: Monday - Friday | Standard Hours
• Work Type: Full Time (40 hours/week) 

 

Position Responsibilities

Are you an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make a significant impact?  In this role, you will be at the heart of project financials, working closely with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient accounting operations. • Month-End Financials: Assist with bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and journal entries to ensure smooth month-end procedures.
• Project Financial Management: Oversee project-specific documentation, budget tracking, and reconcile project bank accounts with budget utilization.
• Billing & Compliance: Manage monthly billing processes, track subcontracts, and ensure compliance with external consultants and lien waiver collections.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Work closely with Development Managers to input project change orders, assist with project reconciliations, and provide support with budgeting and forecasting.
• Tax & Filings: Prepare and file sales tax returns and other necessary tax filings while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and principles (GAAP).
• Operational Efficiency: Back up the Accounts Payable Specialist, assist with employee credit card processes, and help maintain standard operating procedures.

 

We're Seeking Individuals Who Have:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), experience with fixed asset software and ERP systems is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of financial management.
• Collaboration: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a professional approach to managing sensitive and confidential information.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of general accounting experience
• Experience in cost accounting preferred
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills preferred
• Experience using a fixed asset software is a plus
