How would you like to join the Business Service Operations EMEA team as a Senior Accounting Specialist ?</b></h1><p></p><h1><b>Core Responsibilities</b></h1><ul><li><p>Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations including supporting explanations and ensure follow up on outstanding balances and taking corrective action.</p></li><li><p>Responsibility for the completion and review of internal and external reporting and audit requirements.</p></li><li><p>Approves journals, ensuring consistency and completeness of all postings with correct coding, classification and aligned with local accounting standards.</p></li><li><p>Performs variance analyses for movements on all accounts to keep financials free from probable errors and misstatements.</p></li><li><p>Support all activities including audits, audits, tax audits.</p></li><li><p>Acts as key contact for queries concerning accounting and other finance matters.</p></li><li><p>Maintain adherence to local statutory reporting rules, tax requirements for entities in region and lead communication with external and internal auditors.</p></li><li><p>Prepares, review and submit government reports <span>and ad hoc financial </span><span>information requests. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Understanding colleagues needs</span></p></li><li><p><span>Building and strengthening basic partnership relations across areas and </span><span>geographies including teamwork and culture (incl. Business Controllers, </span><span>Treasury, CRBC, Tax, Group Reporting and our auditors)</span></p></li><li><p>Articulate collaborator priorities and find opportunities to translate to plans in own process and area.</p></li><li><p><span>Continuously </span><span>train </span><span>and mentor</span><span> </span><span>junior </span><span>team </span><span>members </span><span>and </span><span>participate </span><span>in </span><span>preparation of cross trainings for other <span>departments/functions.</span></span></p></li><li><p>Support the Team Leaders and FBP Controllers with ad hoc projects, issue resolution, and improvement in execution.</p></li></ul><p></p><h1></h1><h1><b>Play your part in our team succeeding</b></h1><p></p><p><span>The LEGO Business Service Operations (BSO) is a shared service center that </span><span>delivers HR and Finance services to the entire LEGO Group from 3 locations; </span><span>Monterrey, Prague and Singapore. </span><br/>The General Ledger (GL) department interacts with outstanding parts of the LEGO organisation and therefore holds a meaningful role within the Business Service Operations (BSO).</p><p>Supporting the EMEA region. The team handles the general ledger and all related engagements in compliance, involving natural interaction with a wide variety of both internal and external collaborators.</p><p><span>The departmental focus is to:</span><span> </span></p><p></p><ul><li><p><span>Make sure we live our partner promise by ensuring high quality, </span><span>stewardship and full compliance with the LEGO Groups current </span><span>Accounting Policy and global processes. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Ensure timely, accurate and reliable transactional data recorded in </span><span>general ledger and timely reconciliation of all accounts.</span></p></li><li><p>Assist collaborators both inside and outside the organization by providing meaningful financial analyses, regular statements and reports</p></li><li><p>GL department enhances The LEGO Group by providing customer-focused GL processes and collaborating with partners, team members, and collaborators, supporting BSO or equivalent experience to add new value to LEGO.</p></li><li><p><span>The Senior Specialist plays an important role in developing the best in class General Ledger </span><span>department within the BSO. </span></p></li><li><p>Seeking individuals who enjoy improving a top-performing department through collaboration, process excellence, and quality.</p></li></ul><p></p><h1><b>Do you have what it takes ?</b></h1><p></p><ul><li><p><span>MSc degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Controlling</span></p></li><li><p><span>Significant working experience from Finance </span><span>function </span></p></li><li><p><span>Over two years of proven experience gained in a similar role </span></p></li><li><p><span>Experience with an enterprise wide accounting software system, </span><span>preferably SAP</span></p></li><li><p><span>Microsoft Office at experienced level</span></p></li><li><p><span>Analytical, detail - and high-quality oriented</span></p></li><li><p><span>Be robust, resilient and ability to embrace changes, as well as having a </span><span>proactive mind with a can-do attitude. </span></p></li><li><p>Validated self-motivation and proactive approach, excellent teamwork abilities and track record of
