Summary
Responsible for supporting employee relations activities and/or transactional processing for the applicant/employee lifecycle in the HR database.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- When supporting employee relations activity, becomes the first point of contact for associates with regards to questions about benefits, PTO, badge issues or other questions.
- Handles associate benfits enrollment, family status changes and conducts New Hire Benefits orientation.
- Enters personal, medical and family medical leaves of absences in HR database.
- Enters accurate termination details into the HR database and completes Seperation notices.
- Files termination paperwork in termination files.
- Coordinates with the Staffing Recruiter termination activity to ensure plant is staffed to replace terminations.
- When responsible for transactional processing, ensure all recruitment/hire processes are implemented and followed.
- Supports the EPA to perform audits on a regular basis reporting results to management.
- Follows established retention policies and performs audits to ensure data integrity reporting audit results to HR management.
- Makes recommendations to improve processes and efficiences.
- Assisting with associate relations events.
Minimum Education
- AA degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field.
- In the absence of a degree, work experience may be considered.
- AA degree is preferred.
Experience Requirements
- 2 - 4 years experience in office or HR related field.
- Knowledge and experience of HRIS.
- Requires prior experience using HR/Payroll database systems.
- Must be proficient in MicroSoft programs such as excel and powerpoint.
- Proven success in handling administrative responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability for accuracy, meeting deadlines, experience in multi-tasking and ability to work with minimum supervision.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
