Job Description

This role is a part of the Cyber Security Engineering team, responsible for security technology that supports the entire NBCUniversal enterprise. You'll be responsible for identifying key processes around the sustainability and availability of our security products and working to develop proactive approaches for support, deployment, and optimizations of security toolsets.  

Responsibilities

• Developing cloud-based applications, micro services, APIs, and simple interfaces in a public multi-cloud environment
• Establish, sustain, and improve highly available, secure, and scalable foundations for core cloud-based security services 
• Leverage and improve tooling for configuration management, containerization, and secrets management with a DevSecOps agile approach
• Provide documentation and resources to enable other technologists to leverage new tooling and software solutions 
• Utilize your extensive knowledge of APIs to design RESTful services, and integrate them with existing data providers, using JSON or XML as needed

Qualifications

Requirements

• Hands-on or academic knowledge with web services, API, REST, and RPC
• Experience or academic knowledge working in multiple public cloud platforms a plus, i.e. Azure, AWS, Google
• Entry-level knowledge and experience with scripting in multiple languages; ideally Python and Go
• Experience with CI/CD technologies such as GitHub Actions and AWS Codebuild
• A thirst for improvement and an inclination to thoughtfully challenge the status quo 
• Desire to try things and iterate on them, fail fast, and focus on functionality that matters 
• Ability to adapt Agile methodologies and applying them to engineering/development best practices
• Demonstration of teamwork and ability to work independently

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/yr
