The Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering will oversee the implementation, optimization, and management of the organization's cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments, supporting business applications and services. The Senior Manager will lead day-to-day cloud operations, manage cross-functional teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Management & Operations
Manage cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Resource Manager.
Oversee cloud-native services, including serverless computing, containers (Kubernetes, Docker), and microservices architectures.
Optimize cloud resource usage for cost efficiency and performance.
Security and Compliance
Ensure compliance with security standards and implement zero-trust architectures within cloud environments.
Monitor cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, managing risk mitigation and incident response.
Automation and Innovation
Implement automation tools and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with cloud technology advancements and recommend innovative solutions to improve infrastructure.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a team of cloud engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members on cloud technologies and best practices.
Metrics and Reporting
Establish and track KPIs related to cloud performance, cost management, and service reliability.
Present cloud infrastructure performance data to senior leadership, offering insights and recommendations.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience:
8+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management.
3+ years in a leadership role managing cloud operations or IT infrastructure teams.
Certifications:
Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong experience with cloud platforms, IaC tools, and cloud security practices.
Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus).
Estimated Base Pay Range: $108,500 - $155,000 USD/annually
