Job Summary:

The AI Engineering Manager is pivotal in driving the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI solutions that optimize enterprise business processes. This role involves leading and inspiring the AI Engineering Team, managing the end-to-end lifecycle of AI system development, and ensuring seamless integration of AI technologies into our products and workflows. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional leadership and influence with deep expertise in Generative AI technologies and emerging trends. In a rapidly evolving technological landscape, this position is crucial for NRG to foster innovation and sustain its competitive advantage.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement AI solutions leveraging large language models (LLMs) to address business challenges and oversee the fine-tuning and optimization of LLMs.
• Lead the development and deployment of intelligent chatbots or AI agents to enhance customer and employee interactions.
• Ensure AI agents are scalable, reliable, and capable of handling complex queries with a humanized approach.
• Lead, mentor, and empower the AI Engineering team to deliver high-quality AI solutions. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Establish and maintain best practices for AI development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, operation procedures, and challenges.
• Develop and execute strategies for AI technology implementation and integration with enterprise systems, ensuring they align with business objectives.
• Monitor project progress, apply in-depth technical expertise, and ensure continuous improvement and high-quality delivery of AI projects/ products.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in Generative AI technologies and apply this knowledge to drive innovation within the team and organization.
• Define project goals, prioritize tasks, allocate resources, and manage timelines to deliver projects within scope, budget, and deadlines.
• Advocate for ethical AI practices and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards in all AI initiatives.
• Drive the adoption of scalable AI architectures and frameworks, ensuring solutions are robust, secure, and future-ready.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or any related technical field with 10-15 years of relevant work experience.
• Extensive experience in designing and deploying conversational AI systems, chatbots, or AI-powered agents.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage AI-driven projects from concept to deployment.
• Strong knowledge of AI-driven automation tools and techniques, including workflow design and implementation.
• Proven track record in building, fine-tuning, and deploying large language models such as Gemini, OpenAI models (e.g., GPT series), BERT, T5, or similar transformer-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Extensive experience in building and deploying scalable digital platforms with a strong focus on seamless user experiences.
