The Senior Network Administrator manages the operations of networking systems related to network connectivity, WAN, LAN, SDWAN, and Wi-Fi. This role is accountable to deploy, configure and troubleshoot systems as well as research new technologies and leverage optimization techniques to ensure that networks operate efficiently.

Key Performance Objectives:
- Support, configure, document, and implement LANs, WANs, VPN, network segments, Internet, and Intranet systems.
- Manage the daily operations of network equipment by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair.
- Analyze network resource utilization and implement solutions to ensure all network applications are accessible and functioning properly.
- Create monthly performance reports for the executive team.
- Follow guidelines and methods for the installation, management, and upgrades of networking equipment and other components.
- Design and implement network standards for WAN, LAN, and Wi-Fi systems.
- Design VLAN configurations to support maintenance and performance of services over Internet Protocol (IP) such as audio, video, and data (QoS).
- Provide network security recommendations and design networks to meet security baselines.
- Research and evaluate network hardware and software options and upgrades, including updates, patches, and service packs.
- Work closely with IT department managers to determine future network needs and plan for network outages.
- Train technical support staff on solving common network-related problems.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants on developing system-specific skills.
Work Experience/Education
At least five (5) - ten (10) years of Network Administrator Experience. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Specialized Skills & Knowledge Certificates & Licenses
- Proficiency with Palo Alto, Meraki and SD-wan solutions
- Advanced knowledge in Firewalls, SDWan, Zero Trust Framework and other security solutions
- Advanced knowledge of tool sets for management and monitoring of network resources
- Advanced knowledge of configuring and managing network segmentation
- Deep understanding of NAT, route maps, routing policies, and IPSEC VPN
- Strong logical and analytical thinker
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage network projects from start to finish with little guidance from management
- Able to find root causes of problems and quickly determine efficient solutions
- Can anticipate risks and mitigate in the moment
- Comfortable under high-stress and exhibits poise and focus
- Strong verbal and written communicat
