This position serves as a Junior Programmer supporting the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS). In this role you will assists in performing professional application services work for the Client Systems/Disbursements Unit including writing debugging, testing and documenting new program or updates existing programs. In addition, you will receive extensive training in computer system documentation and orientation related to methods of analysis, computer characteristics and problem-solving techniques. Essential Functions
25% Under immediate supervision, serves as a Junior Programmer for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS):
- Performs limited assignments in application programming, typically restricted to the maintenance or modification of existing programs.
- Assists in performing professional application services work for the Client Systems/Disbursements Unit.
- Assists in analyzing and diagnosing system issues and coordinating efforts to resolve.
- Assists in presenting information to others with clarity and precision.
