Senior Backend Engineer (m/w/d)

<h3>Your mission</h3> <ul><li>You contribute to the design and further development of our platform's backend architecture, with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability, as we continue to scale and refine the system.</li><li>Collaborate closely with product and business teams to turn complex requirements into robust, production-ready backend solutions.</li><li>You are thrilled to take ownership of solving challenging technical problems with high-quality, pragmatic code, collaborating closely with the team to deliver impactful solutions—while maintaining a strong focus on individual contributions.</li><li>Drive the continuous improvement of our engineering practices, architecture, tooling, and infrastructure.</li><li>Contribute to innovation by exploring new technologies, initiating product ideas, and building integrations with strategic external partners.</li></ul> <h3>Your profile</h3> <ul><li>You hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field – ideally with a Master's degree.</li><li>You bring at 7+ years of relevant experience in backend development, ideally across multiple roles in startups, scale-ups or big tech environments.</li><li>You enjoy working end-to-end: from shaping ideas and architecture to implementing production-ready solutions – writing clean, modular, and well-tested code.</li><li>You have deep expertise in Python and experience with scalable microservice architectures and modern development/deployment tools.</li><li>You are fluent in English at C2 level (spoken and written); German is a plus, but not a requirement.</li><li>You are willing to work from our Munich office at least two times per week.</li></ul> <h3>Why us?</h3> <ul><li>Take the opportunity to help shape a growing start-up from the ground up and have a measurable impact on the early development of our product.</li><li>Build up a solution disrupting the whole market of processing supply chain documents in conservative industries such as construction.</li><li>Work with a team experienced both in product development and our target industries.</li><li>Perks such as e.g. construction site visits and included gym membership.</li><li>Get all the additional benefits of a start-up (flat hierarchies, flexible working hours, responsibility, work hybrid-style, cool team events. etc.).</li></ul>
