Who You Are 

Spot & Tango is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our NY HQ team! In this role, you will play a key role in the day to day financial operations of the company. This position involves assisting with the preparation of financial reports, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting packs to support month-end close process 
  • Perform weekly cash reconciliations within the ERP to provide real-time visibility and support strategic decisions
  • Manage the procure-to-pay process, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, expense reimbursement, and credit card management. 
  • Collaborate with outsourced transactional accounting resources, offering day-to-day guidance, feedback, and quality control.
  • Partner with the Controller on audit prep and sales tax compliance, and special projects to improve accounting operations and scale processes
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support company-wide initiatives and business goals

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably a similar role 
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP software (Netsuite preferred) and AP processing (Stampli preferred)
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Dog lovers a plus!
