Job Overview

Leader for the Vestas Americas (AME) organization for Regional Product Market Strategy team. Goal of the group is to map out and assess/prioritize the regional product gaps/opportunities. Group is responsible for the AME use case landscape which serves as the foundation for the global market roadmap. Additionally, the team will be the regional sparring partner and reviewer for Global Product Market Strategy across market asks, and product evaluations. In this, the function is expected to act as the primary regional contact for the technical and commercial position of the product roadmap.

 

Responsibilities

• Mapping and assessment of use cases in short and mid-term horizons (0-6 years onshore, 0-10 years offshore) • Definition of regional market roadmap (gaps & opportunities), including regional prioritization (across WTG, Plant, ONS/OFS and New Business) • Facilitate the establishment of a global market roadmap and global Market Asks/BRDs through active engagements and sparring. Evaluate and benchmark customer project management capability (e.g. grid connection, delivery timing, siting capability, project adaptation, BoP etc.

• Strategic identification of key initiatives to secure competitiveness and compliance • Definition of needed Go-to-Market deliverables for the region for planned roadmap releases • Support in definition of restricted selling rules through e.g. establishment of prioritized sales project lists • Orchestrate and prepare regional product trainings • Participation and co-facilitation of Product Market Strategy rally and community • Engagements of external customers to discuss and refine short-to-mid term use case landscape and inform regional market roadmap • Orchestrate participation and lobbying in key working groups to shape and inform use case landscape and inform regional market roadmap.

 

Competencies

• Ability to communicate effectively in English. • Able to effectively manage a cross-functional team

• Effective written and oral communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms • Ability to establish and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Ability to manage one's own workload with limited supervision.

 

Qualifications

• BS in Finance, an MBA, or equivalent experience developing competitive product analysis • Knowledge about the technical aspects of wind turbines. Candidate has a degree in Engineering, within Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewables Engineering. This is a role that requires technical and commercial proficiency. • Requires high level oral and written communication skills AND good customer service skills to work with customers, consultants and cross-functional teams. • Possesses knowledge and skill in working with computers and common software applications. • Ability to travel based on customer needs and overall company goals.
