Medtronic is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic-minded professional to join our team as the Senior Finance Director for Supply Management in our Global Operations and Supply Chain (GOSC) organization. This pivotal CFO role will partner with the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) and be responsible for both Direct and Indirect procurement with over $13B in addressable procurement. The successful candidate will bring extensive financial and sourcing expertise, visionary leadership, and a strong commitment to shaping our financial performance aligned to the company's mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life.

A Day in the Life

  • Partner closely with Medtronic’s Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) and other senior leadership to develop and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing financial and operational excellence

  • Develop clean sheet modelling and zero loss capabilities across the procurement function

  • Partner with Procurement functions to implement cost savings plans to deliver gross savings > 5% over strategic planning period

  • Leads talent management and development activities of the team

  • Partners with the GSM Leadership Team on the development and execution of a comprehensive supply management strategy across all categories

  • Ensures strong planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis capabilities are in place for this function

  • Develops and monitors key performance measures (financial and non-financial) to support long-term performance and strategic objectives

  • Identifies, analyzes, communicates and provides suggested solutions to resolve financial issues which impact business operations objectives

  • Participates in negotiations with suppliers and contract manufacturers

Must Haves: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred

  • Significant experience in Procurement and Manufacturing Finance;

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance, with a focus on Strategy, Governance and FP&A

Nice to Haves

  • Strong change management skills

  • Strong track record in Business Partnering; Successful track record in developing and retaining top Finance talent; Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills;

  •  Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills; Flexible, team-oriented disposition that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
