Job Summary: SUNY Brockport is currently accepting applications for a Registered Nurse (RN). This position reports to the Associate Director of the Student Health Center in the Hazen Center for Integrated Care, this Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to Brockport students, provides laboratory duties including proficiencies, lab procedures and maintains supplies for clinic functioning. The person in this role will mentor clinical nursing students and office assistants and participate in campus health and wellness outreach activities. This is an 11 month position with the month of June off. Minimum Qualifications:- Associate degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized organization by the time of appointment.
- Valid New York State license as a Registered Nurse.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to make independent nursing judgement within scope of practice.
- Ability to work effectively with students, public, university community and external constituencies, with an appreciation for cultural and group differences.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization.
- Experience in ambulatory setting, emergency room or home care setting.
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience.
- BLS certification.
- Experience working with diverse populations.
- Nonjudgmental, open approach to providing care.
