Fleet Operations Specialist

As the primary point of contact for 3PL deliveries, this role provides product/service information and problem resolution which meet our standards of excellence in service.
Responsibilities:
• Accurately schedules and manages 3PL routes, monitoring progress and communicating with fleet drivers and showroom staff.
• Leverages fleet management software, GPS tracking tools, and CRM systems to optimize scheduling and route planning.
• Ensures safety regulations are followed, and fleet vehicles are maintained and serviced.
• Develops and implements contingency plans to address emergencies, breakdowns, and route changes efficiently.
• Oversee the maintenance schedules and compliance of a national fleet of vans, ensuring all vehicles meet operational and safety standards.
• Analyzes fleet performance metrics (e.g., on-time deliveries, vehicle downtime) and generates regular reports for leadership.
• Collaborate with external service providers and vendors to optimize fleet operations while maintaining cost efficiency.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to fleet operations, including Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
• Follows through with Showroom inquiries, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Resolves routine customer issues independently, escalating queries and concerns to manager as appropriate.
• Actively participates in training involving our products, systems and design.
• Additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ previous experience in customer service or project management or equivalent degree.
• Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating CRM, Order Management systems, and Zendesk required.
• Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus.
• Proactive problem solver with experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities with a sense of urgency.
• Exhibits professionalism with customers, team members and all levels of leadership
• Must demonstrate maturity in judgement, commitment, dependability and punctuality.
• Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation.
• Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email and phone.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, if requested.

Compensation Range: $60,000 - $70,000
