Here at Lakeside Foods, our maintenance technician team is the backbone of our operations, ensuring equipment runs optimally while maintaining the facility. Maintenance mechanics/technicians are respected “Jack of All Trades” team members, performing mechanical and/or fabrication updates and using their knowledge to continuously improve production processes. What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for the efficient flow of product through the assigned area and the major repair and maintenance of all machinery in the assigned area.
• Train seasonal and/or full-time employees in the proper, safe, and efficient operation of the machinery to which they are assigned.
• Handle minor personnel problems. Refer major problems to the Supervisor.
• In the off season, will be involved in any number of maintenance activities including machine repair/overhaul, cleaning, building walkways and work platforms, and assisting in the installation of new processing equipment.
• Must possess a complete set of tools for industrial maintenance.
• Must meet all minimum requirements of Factory Mechanic. In addition, must have general knowledge of areas of Company's processing equipment, its operation and preventative maintenance and repair and ability to arc weld and oxygen and plastic cutting. 

 

What You’ll Bring:

• A two year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
