The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level M) to lead implementation of the new 787 Final Assembly (FA) building and production system, based in North Charleston, South Carolina.
The new Senior Leader will lead the cross-functional team in planning, operationalizing and execution of the new 88-48 FA building start-up. The scope of responsibility will cover and integrate all swim-lanes of the project (People, Parts, Paper, Process, Tooling/Capital, Facilities, etc.).
You will be responsible for managing Performance to Plan and implementing strategies to ensure employee and product safety, first pass quality, continuous improvement, and increased productivity. You will develop strategic plans to support emergent requests, review and adjust implementation plans, resolve issues, and provide coaching, mentoring, and developmental opportunities to enhance teammate performance. Additionally, this role will promote employee engagement and cultivate an organizational culture that improves employee satisfaction and retains a skilled and motivated workforce.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages and leads employees, managers, & project teams performing activities within multiple cross-functional disciplines
Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures
Guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Leads, develops, coaches, and motivates others, with a mindset of safety, first pass quality, excellence, and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
10+ years of experience leading and influencing managers/non-managers to meet organizational goals
5+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing
5+ years of experience in a leadership role
5+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
787 Operations/Manufacturing experience
5+ years of cross-functional program / project management experience
5+ years of experience developing and leading business strategy
Stakeholder management skills with executive level communication experience
Direct functional experience within Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, Engineering, and/or Supply Chain
Experience with systematic problem solving

Summary pay range: $162,900 - $199,100
