Job Summary

POSITION ASSIGNMENT / JOB PURPOSE

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for guaranteeing that the installation that forms a part of the production schedule is available, in accordance with fundamental industrial requirements in terms of safety, cost effectiveness and environmental constraints.

Manages the maintenance of the installation, applying the inspection and maintenance procedures and the construction standards, and making such decisions as will ensure a performance standard level and the longevity of the installation. Schedules maintenance shutdowns in liaison with the Production Manager and is responsible for coordinating these with the procurement of maintenance materials and service provisions.

Is responsible for continuous improvements in the maintenance process, aimed at maximizing the availability of the installation at best cost by suggesting modifications and taking responsibility for their validation and integration for everyday operation, and thus achieving a regular raising of performance standards. 

Is involved in the design and launch of trials and industrial projects in order to maintain previous performance standards and achieve the expected progress as quickly as possible.

Plant reliability and capacity are key business issues. The Norfolk plant is more isolated than the European plants and has to be self-sufficient and able to supply the market needs.
