About the role

PrimeLending is currently looking to hire a Trade Desk, Manager in Dallas, Texas. Under the direction of the SVP of Secondary Marketing, this position is responsible for identifying the most profitable and operationally efficient strategies to hedging interest rate risk, while making strategic decisions as it relates to mortgage loan sales.

Monitors the Company’s residential mortgage origination pipeline, as well as, overseeing all trading and hedging operations.
Executes trades and monitors all hedge positions in accordance with policies set forth by the company, investors, and broker dealers.
Responsible for MBS pools, coordination with post-closing and back-office operations, and facilitating inter-department collaboration for MBS sales
Prepares and monitors all management level reports; performs various analytics related to company’s origination portfolio, MSR valuation, gain on sale forecasts, and warehouse line performance.
Stays abreast of events and current market trends that will affect interest rates both short and long term. Prepares and distributes market updates via email to the field.
Monitors distribution of daily rate sheets; ensures the accuracy and integrity of such rate sheets.
Assists in development and implementation of all Secondary Marketing policies and procedures.
Provides expertise and serves as a resource to all managers and loan officers regarding common practices for Secondary Marketing lock-in policies and procedures.
Acts as a Liaison for the company between outside investors, broker dealers, and other Company departments.
Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the mortgage banking industry or other financial related field; previous Capital Market experience required.
Experience in FNMA, FHLMC, and GNMA pooling.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets. Ability to learn additional programs as required.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to perform in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with branch, regional and corporate personnel.
Demonstrated judgment and decision making ability.
Must be available to work all regularly scheduled hours; arriving at scheduled reporting time and at the prescribed time after any breaks or lunch periods.
Must be able to work overtime, as required.
Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
