Position: Supervisor/Sommelier, Ristorante del Lago
Pay Rate: $22.00-$29.00 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge*
*$22.00-$29.00 per hour based on $12.00 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $10.00-$17.00 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year.
*This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.

What you will be doing:
• Support daily front-of-house operation to ensure a seamless, high-end guest experience in alignment with luxury hospitality standards.
• Oversee day-to-day wine and beverage service operations on the floor, ensuring exceptional standards, product knowledge, and presentation.
• Lead and supervisor service teams during service hours, providing on-the floor direction, support, and coaching.
• Uphold and enforce service protocols, grooming standards, and brand guidelines to maintain a refined and consistent guest environment.
• Act as a key point of contact for guest relations, handling special request, feedback, and complaints with professionalism and discretion.
• Engage directly with guest to provide beverage recommendations, pairing suggestions, and curated experiences tailored to individual preferences.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the restaurant wine list, including vintages, producers, regions, and cellar inventory.
• Monitor reservation flow, floor plans, and guest pacing using platforms like reserve to optimize seating and table turns.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar leadership to ensure smooth communication and timely service execution.
• Participate in pre-shift briefings and lead team line-ups to communicate daily goals, VIPs, menu changes and service priorities.
• Conduct staff wine education, tastings, and pairing workshops to ensure consistent knowledge and confidence across the service team.
• Monitor wine inventory levels, perform regular stock checks, and support ordering and supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as all company policies.
• Contribute to maintaining inventory, ordering supplies, and managing cost in collaboration with the manager.
• Lead by example with presence, poise, and commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food products and preparation, trends, wine, and beverages while abiding and enforcing Colorado liquor laws.
• Responsible for restaurant finances including budgeting, inventory, and growth of revenue streams.
• Ensure proper cash handling and accounting procedures are upheld.
• Develop and implement programs to grow all revenue streams.
• Conduct pricing reviews as necessary and make pricing recommendations.
• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado liquor laws.
• Oversee the required and necessary maintenance and sanitation programs.
• Follow through on guest satisfaction and proper handling of guest comments.
• Coordinate with conference and sales departments in the planning and execution of private events.
• Coordinate with food and beverage public relations and marketing manager’s to plan all marketing and promotional plans.
• Coordinate with the restaurant chef, and stewarding team daily to assist in maintaining appropriate staffing and product levels.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines (including grooming standards).
