The ViiV Healthcare Positive Action's Director of Strategic Partnerships and Business Engagement plays a pivotal role in ensuring the Positive Action team delivers against its strategy and contributes greatly to ViiV Healthcare’s mission of leaving no person living with, or affected by HIV behind.
The role requires an experienced leader with the ability to forge mutually beneficial external and internal strategic relationships and deliver impact at scale through its partners.
The successful candidate will lead a small team of Programme Managers to deliver against Positive Action priorities, whilst ensuring strong alignment to, and working closely with ViiV Healthcare business functions, in particular Government Affairs & Global Public Health, Communications, Business Planning, the Congress team, GSK Global Health, and best practice and alignment with other ViiV local operating companies (LOCs).
This role reports into the Head of Positive Action, and works very closely with the Positive Action Director, Programmes, and Director, Operations, Compliance and Governance to ensure effective, aligned and compliant delivery of the Positive Action strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide strategic direction and input to maximise delivery of the Positive Action strategy, and specifically the identification and delivery of strategic partnerships, including potentially programme managing a small number of grants/relationships.
To ensure ViiV Healthcare priorities are incorporated into the Positive Action work, and that the Positive Action strategy is aligned to broader business objectives and aims.
In collaboration with members of the Positive Action leadership team, drive innovation and performance of Positive Action strategic partnerships and investment, ensuring effective planning, monitoring, management, compliance and adherence to all ViiV policies and procedures and ensuring trust in Positive Action and ViiV is maintained and built upon.
To provide oversight of effective financial management, and delivery of all key performance indicators for the strategic partnership portfolio.
Provide support and insights to develop and build a knowledge management culture across Positive Action, ensuring strategic partnerships are evaluated, monitored with learnings and insights captured and shared across the business and externally.
Represent and position Positive Action internally and externally by being able to articulate focus, priorities and future with conviction and relevant technical expertise.
Work with Communications to create strong links to the business story and ending the HIV epidemic through our work with communities on tackling stigma, ending AIDS in children, provision of harm reduction services, and HIV care and prevention. ork with Communications, to highlight Positive Action’s contribution to Trust, ESG, ATMi and continue to foster and strengthen relationships with GSK’s Global Health division

Strong knowledge of the HIV sector, and relationships with key external partners e.g. Global Fund, UNICEF, EGPAF etc., as well as community based organisations, an advantage.
