The Senior Engineer, Data Scientist is responsible for building AI and Machine learning models and pipelines, with a focus on generative AI, LLMs and predictive modelling. The successful candidate will work closely with business and product owners to understand their data requirements and product specification in order to help them make data-related decisions and product design choices. The role will also require close work with software engineers and developers to deliver solutions. The job role may also require you to learn new tools and technologies fast, which will be well supported by in-depth ML/AI knowledge as well as basic programming and scripting skills. You should have practical experience in the design, development, management, and maintenance of systems and handling of large datasets. You should have hands on experience with common machine learning and AI frameworks, and a good knowledge of AI and machine learning fundamentals (deep learning, regression, classification and clustering algorithms), retrieval augmented generation pipelines, as well as a good grasp of the design and evaluation of LLM-supported use cases.

  • Collecting Data: Data scientists analyze business results or set up and manage new studies to collect relevant data.
  • Data Transformation: They convert data into a suitable format for analysis.
  • Framework Creation: Data scientists design experimental frameworks to collect data.
  • Automating Data Collection: Building tools to automate data collection.
  • Data Exploration: Searching through large datasets to extract useful information.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Creating reports and presentations for business purposes and will present to Senior Leadership up to the C suite
  • Lead and manage data science projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
  • Develop and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex
  • business problems.
  • Correlation Analysis: Identifying actionable insights by correlating similar data points
  • Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Build, enhance and maintain the data models, interfaces and application integration required to support growing and changing business needs. contribute to the strategic direction of AI initiatives within the company
