Job Description
The Associate Director will be responsible for defining and supporting the management of media operations, global taxonomy, and data governance requirements to ensure the highest level of data quality across all campaign activities. This is a global role that involves working closely with the Global Data Governance and TAAG Lead in assessing changes needed in existing business processes to create improved data quality and ensure effective implementation.
Additionally, you will have oversight of Ancestry Cookbook and Playbook and roll out of these across markets. You will manage the onboarding of new Ancestry markets, channels, partners, and technology - GMP, Verification, etc. You will also be responsible for ensuring that planning and activation teams receive the support and communication needed to implement and get campaigns activated, measured, and tracked.
You will be the point of escalation for local market teams and PGD (off shore Ad Ops) teams. You will consult Ancestry activation teams on executing strategic plans that align with the overall goals and objectives. You will stay up-to-date and be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of Ancestry Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of the Ancestry Team
- Partner with Digital Directors and Channel Leads to understand technology requirements to then coordinate with the TAAG lead to deliver the best product and best thinking across display and video
- Oversee Ancestry Cookbook and Playbook and roll out of these with across markets in collaboration with your counterpart in Germany
- Manage the onboarding of new Ancestry markets, channels, partners, and technology - GMP, Verification, etc.
- Ensure that planning and activation teams receive the support and communication needed to implement and get campaigns activated, measured, and tracked
- Oversee JIRA ticket assignment, campaign prioritization
- Act as a point of escalation for markets and PGD team
- Consult activation teams on executing strategic plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of Ancestry Teams
- Stay up-to-date and be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that align with the overall goals and objectives of Ancestry Teams.
- Ensure alignment of data governance and media operations strategies with the Global TAAG and Data Governance Lead
- Provide guidance to the Media Operations team for planning and executing media campaigns across multiple markets, channels, and platforms
- Improve and implement data governance training and communication plans to ensure awareness and understanding of data governance policies and procedures across the organization
- Implement data governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and security of data assets
- Establish and maintain a data governance framework, including data definitions, ownership, and stewardship roles and responsibilities
- Collaborate with IT and other business units to develop and implement data architecture and data management solutions that align with data governance policies and standards
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data governance policies and procedures and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the successful implementation of data governance and media operations initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with key media partners and vendors and stay up to date on emerging trends and technologies in media and marketing
- Support and mentor a team of data governance and media operations professionals
