Position Overview:We are hiring experienced Printing Press Operators to support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will have a background in operating wide-web printing presses, including flexographic, lithographic, or rotogravure, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and maintain wide-web printing presses
- Load substrates, inks, and materials per job specs
- Monitor press operations and adjust settings for optimal output
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and ongoing quality checks
- Troubleshoot press issues to reduce downtime and scrap
- Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and equipment checks
- Maintain ink pH/viscosity, clean decks, and change doctor blades as needed
- Track and document Key Performance Metrics (KPMs)
- Participate in preventive maintenance activities
- Collaborate with the team to meet production and quality goals
Qualifications:
- Experience with flexographic, lithographic, or rotogravure printing
- Familiarity with press controls, HMI systems, and quality standards
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of industrial safety protocols
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights/weekends
- Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
