We are looking for a Pharmacy Director to oversee the operations and performance of our Pharmacy Department. We are looking for a Pharmacy Director to oversee the operations and performance of our Pharmacy Department. The Pharmacy Director will create and enforce associated organizational policies and procedures, including those related to pharmacy service quality, utilization management, and the achievement of company objectives.
Your Impact
- Establish the strategic vision, objectives and policies and procedures for the pharmacy program.
- Plan, direct and implement pharmacy activities. Primary activities will be around pharmacy utilization including Medical (J-code) drugs.
- Act as the pharmacy contract administrator for the development and implementation of key contracts and ensure that relevant performance standards are met by vendors.
- Resolve disputes, grievances and complaints involving pharmacy program issues.
- Participate in external accreditation initiatives.
- Participate in relevant boards, task forces, committees, meetings and other activities.
- Develop and lead the monthly pharmacy therapeutics committee.
- Manage relationships with key vendors such as pharmacy benefit management companies and pharmaceutical companies.
- Support provider education initiatives.
- Manage and analyze operating costs and participate in preparing the annual budget for the assigned work function.
- Review and analyze reports, records and directives, and confer with staff to obtain data required for planning work function activities.
- Perform other duties and support deliverables as assigned by the organization to help drive our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Your Credenitals
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (PharmD) in pharmacy.
- 3-5 years of clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
- 3-5 years of recent contracting, quality improvement and management experience in managed care strongly preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical care and pharmacy benefit management practices.
- Previous management experience includes responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance Licensure:
- Current Oregon Pharmacist license or ability to be licensed in Oregon within 90 days of hire.
