Salt Lake City Police Department is looking for a new Fleet Services Coordinator! As a key support role within SLCPD, the Police Fleet Services Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the police fleet, including working closely with Fleet Operations to procure, maintain, and outfit department vehicles. Duties include overseeing the ordering of new vehicles, scheduling and tracking maintenance, managing the installation and inventory of police-specific equipment, and ensuring all fleet assets are operational and accounted for. The coordinator ensures that the department's fleet is mission-ready, safe, and compliant with departmental standards.About the Position:

This position works four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, from 6:00 am to 4:00 pm. A remote or hybrid schedule is not available for this position.
About the Team:
The Support Division is led by a Division Commander and an Administrative Lieutenant who oversee several key operational units, including Background Investigations, Records, Quartermaster, Logistics, and Training. This division provides essential logistical and administrative support to the entire Salt Lake City Police Department, ensuring that personnel and resources are equipped to meet operational demands. Within this team, the Police Fleet Coordinator plays a vital role by managing the department’s vehicle fleet, contributing directly to the readiness and effectiveness of police operations.

Position Salary Range:
$25.69 - $31.82/hr

Key Responsibilities:
Monitors the need for maintenance and repair of Police Department vehicles and equipment, as well as coordinates service requests. Including coordinating police vehicle connections to the police dispatch (radio) systems, Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), and other police related systems.
Research and meets with vendors regarding technology updates and new technologies to ensure the SLCPD fleet is as up to date as possible to ensure maximum effectiveness.
