The Opportunity
Gender Equality in Tech (GET) Cities is seeking an Associate to support the national team. GET Cities is an initiative designed to accelerate the representation and leadership of women in tech through the development of inclusive tech hubs across the United States.
As a candidate for the Associate role, you have stellar organization and communication skills, maintain a balance between flexibility and focus, are people-focused, a problem solver and independently proactive.
Reports to Dr. Sarah Outland, Director of Research for GET Cities. This role is a full-time position in a distributed team/office structure with periodic domestic travel. The candidate must be available during Central Time Zone working hours.
Essential Functions
- Schedule, organize, coordinate, and participate in virtual and in-person meetings and program events including workshops, summits, cohort calls, and meetings; share meeting materials and distribute meeting notes.
- Plan in-person quarterly team retreats, including travel, itinerary & team accommodations, in collaboration with National Director, Operations, Partnerships, Strategy and outside facilitators.
- Support National Director with calendar management, meeting requests, expense reports and booking travel.
- Organize tasks & action plans for teams in the Asana platform.
- Support teams with Salesforce data entry & data accuracy.
- Work closely with City Managers to plan logistics and support events, convenings and other meetings.
- Occasional grant writing, in collaboration with the SecondMuse Foundation Grants Manager.
- File and maintain program documents, and ensure central repository storage and accuracy of program documentation.
- Support the SecondMuse communication team as they write high quality, strategic internal and externally facing reports, briefing documents, presentations, and collateral as well as drive social media and other communications.
- Other activities (as assigned) to support the National Director and GET Cities team.
