Production Associate - 1st Shift 5:30am - 4:00pm 2nd Shift 4:00pm - 2:30am

Job Title:  Production Associate 1st & 2nd Shifts

SUMMARY:

The purpose of this job is to process parts according to customer specifications and production efficiencies by performing the following duties.

WAGE TYPE:  Hourly

FLSA Exemption: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Reads traveler to determine the optimum process for the designated part to be plated. Follows the traveler process specifications step by step.
• Sets up and controls plating equipment to coat metal object electrolytic ally or chemically with chromium, copper, cadmium, nickel, zinc, or other metal to provide protective, decorative, or engineering surfaces.
• Follows established safety procedures and work instructions.
• Measures, marks, and masks areas exclude from plating per traveler.
• Operates manual hoist or automatic hoist system for submerging the parts in plating or cleaning baths. This may also be performed by hand.
• Racks parts by hand onto racks using racking work instructions.
• May work with substances defined as hazardous waste, such as chrome sludge.
• Could potentially handle hazardous waste in containerizing, transporting, testing, or other assigned duties.
• Any other tasks as required fulfilling Lincoln Industries' Beliefs and Drivers.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE:

• Reports to:  Team Leader and/or Production Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.  Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted for the expected levels of education and experience required.

Education and/or Experience:

Expected:  Six months to one-year related experience and/or training preferred.

Communication Skills:

• Must be able to read, write and comprehend the English language.
• Must be able to read work instructions and travelers to follow proper procedures.
• Must be able to read safety warnings and chemical labels.
• Must be able to communicate verbally with others.
