Central Lab Histology Manager – Full-Time – Weekday Shifts
Location: Irving, TX
Salary Range: Up to $110,000 (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Shift varies)

A state-of-the-art central laboratory supporting a large regional healthcare network is seeking an experienced Histology Manager to lead its histology operations. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a seasoned lab professional ready to elevate their career in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-driven environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day histology operations including staffing, workflow, compliance, and quality assurance

• Develop and manage training, competency, and performance evaluation programs

• Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance (CAP, CLIA, JCAHO, CMS)

• Partner with the Medical Director and Division Director to meet lab performance and operational goals

• Implement continuous improvement initiatives and oversee resource planning

• Manage expense budgeting, supply utilization, and cross-department project coordination

• Lead internal communications and represent the lab with internal/external stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Sciences, Biology, or Chemistry

• National certification as a Histotechnologist (HTL) or Medical Technologist (MT)

• 3–5 years of supervisory or management experience in histology (hospital or central lab setting)

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams across multiple sites

• Willingness to travel within the region as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a related field

• Experience launching or managing central laboratory operations
