What your day would be like:
You’ll be hands-on in designing and enhancing critical IT and OT infrastructure that supports field operations across the organization. Each day, you’ll develop new system components, improve existing designs, and collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient communication networks and technologies.

You are responsible for:

• Designing new components or portions of IT and OT systems based on project requirements.
• Modifying and improving existing designs to enhance system performance and support evolving operational needs.
• Collaborating with field service and engineering teams to ensure designs are practical, efficient, and field-ready.
• Supporting documentation, drawings, and specifications needed for construction and field deployment.
• Identifying opportunities to innovate and streamline communication infrastructure designs.

Minimum Requirements

IT Designer II  | IT Communication Infrastructure Engineering

• Associates Degree and/or Technical Degree 
• AND two (2) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
• Requires basic knowledge of related IT systems and procedures

• Associates Degree and/or Technical Degree 
• AND four (4) years of prior relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and directly related experience
• Requires considerable knowledge of related IT systems and procedures.

Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications

• Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCad computer-aided design software and Meridian Document Repository
• Able to explain complex technical processes in simple language for general company staff and to less experienced peers.
• .Possesses the necessary family of skills to coordinate workflow with a high degree of customer service and stakeholder collaboration
•  Understanding of Drafting Principles: Strong understanding of drafting principles, standards, and symbols.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to create accurate and precise drawings. 
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders. 
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve design problems efficiently. 
• Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage drawing files and project documentation. 
• Knowledge of Industry Standards: Knowledge of relevant industry standards, building codes, and regulations. 
• Basic Knowledge of Construction Processes: Understanding of construction processes and materials. 
• Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in a relevant industry (e.g., architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering) may be preferred. 

Major Accountabilities

1)         Develops design drawings according to engineering sketches and proposal specifications.
2)         Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD, CAM, CA
