We are looking for a Scheme Fee Director to join our fast-growing Finance Operations team. Reporting to our Senior Director of Finance Operations, you will be supporting the team on revenue optimization initiatives with a key focus on scheme fees.

The Scheme Fee Director will have the opportunity to establish a new function for our North America business. You will own the scheme fee expense and revenue management. We are looking for a strong process improvement specialist with in-depth knowledge of the major schemes' fees. The position will work closely with our Billing, Vendor Management, Compliance, and Commercial teams. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy developing smart solutions to new problems. The Director will serve partially as a project manager as well as a product owner with a focus on revenue improvement initiatives in their area of expertise.

Requirements

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Lead new fee implementation and fee modification efforts cross-functionally, including preparation of financial impacts
• Ensure all scheme fee changes are communicated clearly to various internal and external stakeholders
• Track incentive agreements
• Oversee quarterly reporting
• Establish best practices
• Identify and lead continuous improvements projects
• Create guidance to support the business
• Provide support to internal customers in your area of expertise
• Support the Senior Director, Finance Operations

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• 8+ years of experience in the payments industry
• College or university degree in a finance-related field
• Expert understanding of US and Canadian Visa and Mastercard scheme fees
• Ability to interpret scheme bulletins/announcements into business requirements
• Adept at resolving complex and unique problems
• Experience leading cross-functional projects
• Financial analysis, data validation, and data analysis skills
• Success in process improvement
• Experience owning a product
• Ability to prepare polished executive level communications
• Capable of defining KPIs and maintaining a scorecard
• Positive attitude, focused on solutions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with SQL is a plus
