Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack in Irving, Texas.

Essential Responsibilities:

Job Duties: The Lead Software Engineer – Full Stack will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, operating, and maintaining React frontend applications and Spring Boot Microservice Development for Merchant Portal. Additional responsibilities include the following:

• Build microservices and deploy to docker.
• Develop Spring Security Oauth 2 framework for Digital Verification consumer security.
• Develop, test, and maintain software components for Buy Now Pay Later project.
• Design architecture on different components of Avvance Merchant Portal.
• Utilize Kafka and Azure Cloud.
• Resolve complex technical issues related to software development tasks.
• Direct the integration of software applications into existing systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Review code changes and monitor application performance.
• Collaborate with other departments such as QA, Product Management, UX Designers.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to ensure software meets all testing criteria.
• Manage offshore and onsite team members for Merchant Portal team.

Position will supervise up to 25 Senior Software Engineers. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, IT Analyst, or related.

Required Skills/Experience:
Must possess 5 years of experience with: performing Java, Spring Boot, and Microservice based software development; developing, analyzing, designing, integrating, testing and maintaining software; analyzing business requirements and providing application solutions; designing detailed architecture for different software solutions; creating technical and functional stories; developing front-end technologies and enterprise applications with React JS; server-side programming with Java J2EE and Spring Boot; responsive UI development; software program management; BDD for testing automation; providing on-time and on-budget sprint delivery with quality code; utilizing Waterfall and Agile methodologies for development; and utilizing the following tools/technologies: SDLC; Spring Security, Oauth 2 and JWT token based communications, Spring boot microservices, Gemfire, Pivotal cloud foundry, J2EE, JDBC, Java Beans, Struts, REST, SOAP, SOA, TDD, Splunk Big Data tool, and Javascript. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location.
