Our team is expanding, seeking motivated and talented individual to join us.</p><p></p><p><b>About the role</b></p><p>As a Senior Mobile Quality Engineer, you will ensure our Android and iOS apps deliver seamless, high-quality experiences for our users. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers, bringing your expertise in testing and problem-solving to the table. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and train junior members of the Quality Engineering chapter, helping them grow and excel in their roles.</p><p></p><p>In this role, you will</p><ul><li><p>Create and execute test plans and cases that cover all aspects of our mobile apps</p></li><li><p>Dive into manual testing to catch those hard-to-spot issues, from UI glitches to tricky edge cases</p></li><li><p>Build and maintain test automation frameworks from the ground up using tools like Appium, Espresso, or XCTest to keep our apps running smoothly</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and reproduce bugs, making sure issues are resolved quickly</p></li><li><p>Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement</p></li><li><p>Bring a proactive mindset, identifying risks and improvement opportunities before they become problems</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About the team </b></p><p>The Mobile Squad serves as the cornerstone of If’s mobile strategy, steering the company toward a truly mobile-first service offering. We design and implement mobile applications tailored for our Nordic customers, with a forward-looking approach. Our team of 10 is cross-functional, excelling in innovation, rapid delivery, and high-quality standards. We foster a collaborative yet relaxed work environment, promoting open communication. Ideally, you will have 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with extensive experience on both Android and iOS platforms, as well as hands-on knowledge and proficiency with test automation tools and frameworks like Appium, Espresso, or XCTest. You’ll also be comfortable collaborating with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure seamless, high-quality user experiences.</p><p></p><p>You also have:</p><ul><li><p>Knowledge of one or more programming languages</p></li><li><p>Strong understanding of quality processes and methodologies</p></li><li><p>Experience with API testing tools like Postman or Insomnia</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working in Agile teams and collaborating with cross-functional teammates</p></li><li><p>Excellent communication skills and a self-driven, can-do attitude</p></li><li><p>Fluency in English</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Additional facts and the recruitment process</b></p><p><b>Application deadline:</b> 15.2.2025, screening and interviewing will be taken as an on-going process.</p><p><b>To apply for the position: </b><span>Please attach your CV and answer the questions in the application form in our recruitment system (Workday).
