Job Description

As the Emerging Technology/ITS Revenue Lead (Hybrid) at AECOM, you will pursue and execute innovative initiatives to optimize transportation mobility and revenue generation through intelligent transportation systems, including tolling and road user charging technologies across the West Coast. This crucial role involves driving the integration of emerging technologies into the transportation infrastructure, enhancing safety, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability. Your strategic leadership will guide the development of new projects, secure business through RFP responses, and foster strong partnerships to sustain AECOM’s commitment to innovative transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the strategy, development, and implementation of ITS projects with a strong emphasis on revenue generation.
  • Drive business development efforts, including identifying opportunities, establishing partnerships, and leading robust responses to RFPs.
  • Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Work closely with clients and stakeholders to customize ITS solutions that enhance revenue potential while addressing regional transportation challenges.
  • Ensure the effective integration of cutting-edge technologies into existing and future transportation frameworks.
  • Maintain expertise in industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory environments to strategically position AECOM at the forefront of the industry.
  • Provide thought leadership and technical expertise in presentations, reports, and stakeholder meetings to articulate the value and impact of projects.
  • Maintain and expand local industry presence including actively participating in professional organizations

 

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in ITS, with significant exposure to tolling and revenue systems, and at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven success in business development, project management, and strategic planning in ITS revenue-focused projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond effectively to RFPs and secure project funding.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams and engage complex stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strategic thinking and planning abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technologies related to transportation revenue systems.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving demands of the industry.
  • Ability to balance various project responsibilities, budgets, and deadlines while maintaining professionalism and quality.
  • Team-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
