About Us:

NBCUniversal Global Distribution is responsible for the sales and distribution of NBC Universal product to all forms of television and new media platforms in over 200 territories across the globe, its revenue portfolio exceeding $7Bn per year.  This includes a rich library of more than 4,400 feature films and 120,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming, and locally produced content from around the world.

Overview:

This is a temporary fixed-term position with an anticipated end date of 2/1/2024.  The role of Interim VP, Sales will be focused on partnering with key internal stakeholders to support and drive sales of our TV series products.  In particular, this role will be tasked with identifying challenged and/or underperforming series and proposing solutions to equip sales teams with the data, materials, and insights to improve revenue generation.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver, identify and share best practices across territories to drive series sales.
  • Identify “challenged”, under-performing and/or under-sold series and pull together success stories from sold markets, working with Research & Product Strategy teams to ensure best practices are shared with the Sales team.
  • Own dashboard tracking of both sold and unsold series across all territories.
  • Partner with Finance on tracking remaining “To Go” series against greenlight estimates.
  • Partner with Marketing, Research and Content Strategy to support local/regional/global sales efforts.
  • Provide insights into performance trends of series across all markets.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience within Sales, Acquisitions and/or Content Strategy.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Sales, Acquisitions and/or Content Strategy.
  • Thorough knowledge of the entertainment industry.
  • Strong written and communication skills at all levels.

  • Superior communication skills, able to influence at senior levels both internally and externally.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity when working with international colleagues and local partners.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive individual capable of working collaboratively as a member of multiple teams as well as independently.

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
