About the role

Description

The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students within the clinical setting and participation as an active member of one or more Penn graduate groups.

Clinical responsibilities may include seeing patients in the outpatient setting and as an attending on an inpatient consult service.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include establishing an innovative, independent research program in human genetics, genomic medicine, and/or translational science that will attract and maintain extramural funding from various sources. The successful candidate will be expected to publish scholarship in peer reviewed journals.

The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics comprises clinical and research faculty with diverse investigative interests and close affiliations with clinical departments at Penn Medicine as well as the neighboring Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Wistar Institute.
