In addition, you will receive a SIGN-ON INCENTIVE OF 40 HOURS OF VACATION TIME OFF AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF YOUR 90 DAYS PROBATIONARY PERIOD, TO BE TAKEN WITHIN YOUR FIRST YEAR OF EMPLOYMENT.
As a CCFP Claim Specialist responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Entering claim, enrollment and eligibility data into database for monthly claim.
- Preparing and maintaining required documents for assigned programs.
- Providing technical assistance as required to childcare providers and staff regarding assigned programs.
- Ensuring that all required reports are completed accurately by assigned deadline.
- Preparing and mailing monthly paperwork to providers by assigned deadline.
- Assisting with processing of monthly claims data for child care centers.
- Participating in the organization of special events related to child care programs.
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Child Development, Nutrition, Communication or related field preferred.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in claims processing or similar work environment, two (2) years preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, time management, and customer service skills. Must be able to work independently.
- Must have the ability to understand and effectively communicate concerning state and federal child care food program policy. The ability to create reports and correspondence in English, and the ability to effectively communicate and offer technical assistance in English.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as needed.
- Must be familiar and comfortable working with diverse populations.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole preferred.
