Business Office Training Coordinator
The Business Office Training Coordinator is responsible for overall training for the Center Business Office positions. This position also provides coverage for vacancies along with the Regional B.O.M. in compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as state and federal regulations. This position requires extensive travel overnight to centers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for coordination of the overall training of the business office staff in the facilities, and Regional B.O.M.’s, to ensure that they are educated on policies and procedures and updated with changes.
Responsible for development of training programs along with the Assistant AR Director and Regional B.O.M. for Facility Business Office Staff on use of billing software and functions of the Business Office.
Coordinates training with Human Resources and Regional BOM for onboarding new staff at the centers.
Coordinates continuing education with Accounts Receivable Director, Assistant AR Director, and Regional BOM, Billing Manager for Business Office personnel.
Development and maintenance of Competencies for Business Office staff at the centers.
Development of skills check lists, workflow sheets, and periodic competency testing.
Plans and attends regular meetings with the Accounts Receivable Director and other corporate staff.
Attends Medicare/Medicaid training sessions via teleconference or in person to keep informed of current billing changes and policies.
Back-up for Business Office staff as needed.
Promote and demonstrate a culture of Service Excellence.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent with emphasis on business courses.
Minimum two years bookkeeping experience, accounting experience desirable. Prefer experience in a health care facility.
Five years or more combined experience as a Business Office Manager and/or Regional Business Office Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
Must be able to conduct meetings and in-service training sessions.
Good communication skills, able to relate ideas to others.
Must be computer literate, be able to use computer applications, and troubleshoot problems with the assistance of corporate I.T. personnel.
Must have analytical skills that result in being able to reconcile patient accounts and reconcile bank statements.
Must be flexible, detail-orientation, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be able to make effective decisions and work as part of a service excellence team.
