Mpower is excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Solar Site Surveyor Support person to join our team.

 

This role is primarily responsible for troubleshooting and repairing solar systems that are underperforming, ensuring optimal performance for our customers. Additionally, this technician will assist with site surveys when needed and perform ad hoc tasks related to DOB electrical inspections to ensure smooth project completion.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Respond to service calls for residential solar systems that are not performing as expected.
• Conduct thorough inspections to diagnose technical issues.
• Perform necessary repairs, including inverter troubleshooting, panel replacement, and wiring corrections.
• Document findings, repairs, and solutions in company systems.
• Perform detailed roof measurements and create accurate blueprints of the roof.
• Test electrical panels in homes to ensure they are suitable for solar installation.
• Use drones and other technology to gather precise data and document all findings in detailed reports.
• Assist in preparing for Department of Buildings (DOB) electrical inspections, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Address minor adjustments or corrections on-site as needed to pass inspections.
• Support the operations team with additional tasks related to solar installations.

Qualifications

Qualification:

• Experience in solar installation, electrical work, or system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with residential solar equipment, including Enphase inverters, racking, and wiring.
• Basic understanding of NYC DOB electrical inspection requirements is a plus.
• Comfortable working on rooftops and using ladders safely.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites.
• Roofing or site survey experience strongly preferred.
• Basic electrical knowledge.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Use drones and other technology to gather precise data.
