Tax Analyst - US Operations Analyst (Remote)

Corporate Tax department of a large multi-national service corporation.  The department is responsible for filing a consolidated federal income tax return, with approximately 85 subsidiaries.  Also, the department files 27 combined state income tax returns and approximately 900 separate company state and local income and franchise tax returns.  In addition, the tax department is heavily involved with the company’s compliance with ASC 740. 

This is a is a hybrid/remote role preferably located in Eastern Standard Time zone states.

The Role:

• Support the U.S. federal income tax compliance process in order to meet external filing requirements
• Prepare US federal proforma and consolidated return items, including any book-tax adjustments
• Prepare US state income and franchise tax returns 
• Prepare calculations for estimated payments and extensions
• Preparation of Forms 5471 and Form 8858 for international entities
• Provide support on annual and quarterly tax provision calculations, including any book-tax adjustments, tax account reconciliations and return to provision calculations

The Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Accounting required, Masters in Tax preferred 
• Prior internship/tax experience preferred (0-4 years), with US outbound experience a plus
• Ability to comprehend income tax accounting theory and tax compliance laws
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience with ONESOURCE Income Tax (OIT) and/or Corp Tax; ONESOURCE Tax Provision (OTP); Alteryx; Oracle/SAP a plus 
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Basic understanding of US Internal Revenue Code and ASC 740; Pillar II experience a plus
• Ability to work independently and with others as a team

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range and benefits information for this position are being included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that base salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).

Compensation

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $60,000-$100,000 USD per year.

This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
