ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Crane, Indiana. This is an onsite position.

As a core Mechanical Engineer II on our innovative team, you'll be deeply involved in the full spectrum of engineering activities – from initial research and design to seamless integration, rigorous testing, and insightful analysis. You'll focus on developing critical defensive cyber technologies, ensuring mission assurance, advancing command and control systems, and building resilient tactical networks. Your efforts will directly translate into enhanced effectiveness for the warfighter. Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA)

• Perform engineering analysis, including stress analysis, thermal analysis, fluid dynamics, and vibration analysis, using FEA and CFD tools.

• Select appropriate materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerances for mechanical designs

• Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems

• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues during development, testing, and production phases

• Collaborate effectively with electrical, software, and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems

• Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation

• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices

• Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for design processes and methodologies

• Potentially mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians

• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, OR equivalent education and years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
