Service Intern/Student (High School)

The HOLT CAT facility in Irving, Texas is looking for a High School Intern to join our team. This position is an entry-level Shop Service Technician intern who will be under the direct guidance of an experienced Service Shop Supervisor to receive on-the-job training. The intern's primary purpose is to learn and develop an understanding of the overall Service Department operation and learn valuable skills to succeed in this industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position is an entry-level Internship with the CAT Support team and will be under the guidance of an experienced HOLT supervisor. The intern’s primary purpose is to learn and receive on-the-job training (OJT) as follows:

1. Attend required company-led meetings
2. Maintain safety training and procedures
3. Receive coaching, mentoring, and feedback from Leadership

On-the-job work and training may include: 

• Quality inspection for all work performed
• Help install, repair, and replace mechanical parts
• Examine and test equipment to ensure the proper functioning
• Adjust, connect, or disconnect parts, using hand or power tools
• Knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS:

 The candidate must be a current high school student enrolled in a relevant program.
