About the JOB TITLE Position:

The People Ops Generalist is the local on-the-ground HR partner at their assigned local FC, centered around a strong collaboration with the local senior leadership.  The Generalist creates a positive, engaging employee experience by serving as a people advocate on the ground in partnership with both the associates and warehouse leadership. The Generalist works closely with the Sr HRBP, Supply Chain to ensure each facility is promoting the same Stord culture and employee experience and adjusting to the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment. The Generalist handles day-to-day HR functions for the warehouse and also proactively works to continuously improve the people experience, collaborating with senior leadership to drive business priorities.

What You'll Do: 

Serve as the main HR contact and employee advocate for Atlanta Fulfillment Center for all HR support and opportunities:

  • Manage Day to Day HR Operational Functions including timecard review, tracking attendance, updating timecards, tracking disciplinary action, ADA/FMLA requests
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation, creating a positive “Day 1” experience
  • Manage full-cycle Employee Engagement Activities for the site including creation of engagement calendar, implementation of on-site activities, and communication to broader site/HR channels
  • Foster and role model an environment of inclusion for all employees
  • Advocate for employees’ success to ensure each and every associate can feel fully engaged in the work they do and valued for who they are
  • Equitably exercise high-judgment, manage through ambiguity and serve as first point of escalation for employee concerns
  • Create and drive an active approach to impact change and innovation around employee engagement, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Coach, develop and support leadership through decision making with empathy and sound judgment through leadership 1:1s, roundtables and continuous training
  • Collaborate with multiple levels of the organization ranging from front-line employees to senior leaders
  • Use data and metrics to identify trends, anticipate business needs and develop action plans, including attendance and attrition deep dive and planning
  • Proactively manage professional and personal development through continuous learning and training

What You'll Need:

  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience in an HR support role
  • Ability to influence change and foster an environment of inclusion for all employees.
  • Skills in employee engagement and problem solving with diverse populations.
  • Experience working in a rapidly changing environment driven by continuous innovation.
  • Knowledge and application of HR fundamentals.
  • Partnering with leaders at multiple levels of the organization to develop forward looking strategies and goals focused on the employee experience.
  • Experience in coaching and supporting leaders in performance management, continuous feedback, and ongoing development
  • Passion for advocating for employees, leaders and People team across all areas of the supply chain


Bonus Points:

  • Bilingual (Spanish) or working knowledge of Spanish a HUGE
