Job Description

Mission Technologies, a divison of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of Tactical Data Link (TDL) Analyst for operations and maintenance for the Navy Integrated Training Environment (NITE) contract. The candidate will be located at NAS Oceana in support of the Tactical Training Range (TTR). Responsible to work in close coordination with other team members and departments to update, monitor and maintain C4I/TDL and Communication equipment used throughout the enterprise. Provide administrative leadership to assigned personnel, having various skills, to exercise full responsibility for all administrative, and coordination functions related to specific program elements to ensure that they met customer and user requirements and expectations in cost, quality, and schedule requirements. Provide leadership, training, and coordination to nurture a culture of reliability centered maintenance philosophy which permeates all staffing levels, and which enhances the entire maintenance program. Develop successful applications of advanced predictive testing and inspection technologies to realize significant cost savings for planned maintenance activities.  Individual must be able to work independently and work within a team. The position requires flexibility to work occasional non-standard work hours and work weeks of more than 40 hours to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements. 
 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Analyzes and provides recommendations on issues dealing with disciplines such as military command control and communications, electronic warfare, weapon systems, contingency operations, Military Tactics Techniques and Procedures (MTTP), force planning, and training exercises. Coordinates with user community representatives throughout all phases of development concerning requirements definition, clarification, prioritization, and alternatives.  Analyzes the conduct and results of operational user training, military maneuvers or simulated wartime operations undertaken to main the capabilities of a force. Compares, analyzes and evaluates the relative merits of program designs and alternatives. Applies emerging doctrine and tactics, whether detailed in formal doctrinal changes or emanating from Advanced Warfighting Experiments (AWEs), Advanced Technology Demonstrations (ATDs), or Force XXI activities, to system design and development.  Assesses the impact of programmatic and technical options on stated user requirements and doctrine.  Prepares reports and briefs summarizing support requirements, deficiencies, and investments for various programs and systems. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field OR
  • 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field OR
  • 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field OR
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
  • US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance Required
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with multiple C4I systems (e.g., Link-16, SATCOM)
  • CompTIA Security+ and the ability to obtain Cyber Security Workforce Designation
  • COMSEC experience pr
