POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Director, Mfg Data Management Services, responsible for the management and support of the business processes, system and personnel involved in providing complete and accurate data for the Material and Trade Vendor Masters in the Animal Health ERP system.
This position partners with IT on the development and implementation of Master Data system enhancements, standards, processes, documentation, data quality processes and exception reporting including data synchronization across the different functional systems.
This position will continuously look for ways to enhance the business value of the information supporting Animal Health and includes management of data relative to item master, supplier master, purchasing costs and other select information.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitors the supplier and item set up for Animal Health to ensure process efficiency, control effectiveness, and compliance with internal and external stakeholder requirements.
2. Liaison between the Master Data team and Animal Health IT business partners.
3. Represents the Master Data team in projects across the organization involving changes impacting managed information.
4. Develop and maintain training documents for the Master Data team.
5. Trains new Master Data associates on the processes and standards for pricing, item creation, item maintenance, vendor creation and vendor maintenance in XT and other applicable systems.
6. Manages the integrity of data to prevent problems in ordering and purchasing processes that are dependent on the information.
7. Review all pertinent data changes and reports daily for compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
8. Partners with the Reporting teams to develop reports, queries and data quality processes to maintain data integrity.
9. Interact with other internal departments throughout the company to provide information, resolve issues and support cross-functional projects.
10. Provide expertise and knowledge of products as it relates to product categorization and master data.
11. Responsible for all associate relations functions for department staff including hiring, terminating, performance management, development and training.
12. Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Requires broad training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four year bachelor’s degree program or equivalent combination of experience and education; normally requires a minimum of six (6) years progressively responsible experience, including at least two (2) years experience at a manager level as well as demonstrated ability to manage teams of at least 5-10 associates.
