The Director, Procurement is a key member of the Mission Support Team and will oversee CCAC's sourcing capabilities and vendor management. Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), and working in partnership with the General Counsel, the ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of all Procurement-related systems, policies, best practices and reporting in support of CCAC's purchasing and vendor decisions.

 

 

Role Responsibilities:

 

  • Leads and Enhances Procurement Operations: Strategically plans, implements, and continuously improves procurement and contracting processes, including vendor pre-qualification, interviews, selection, negotiation of business terms, and lifecycle vendor management to ensure efficiency, transparency, and alignment with organizational goals.

  • Oversees Budget Alignment and Spending Plans: Manages and updates the procurement spending plan in coordination with department leads, ensuring all procurement requests are financially sound, aligned with evolving organizational priorities, and compliant with budgetary constraints.

  • Develops and Enforces Procurement Policies: Collaborates with the CPO, CFO, and General Counsel to design, implement, and monitor procurement policies, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies that uphold legal compliance, ethical standards, and best practices, while supporting CCAC's mission, values, and strategic objectives.

  • Drives Strategic Sourcing and Performance Optimization: Conducts market analysis and cost-benefit evaluations to identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation; negotiates favorable contract terms and develops KPIs and performance metrics to monitor procurement effectiveness and vendor accountability.

  • Supports Strategic Planning and Organizational Development: Contributes to the creation of annual procurement plans and performance evaluations, supports cross-functional initiatives, and takes on additional responsibilities as needed to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
