Broadridge Critical Infrastructure and Enterprise Systems team is seeking to hire an APM and Observability Solutions Leader. The team is responsible for driving the Observability, Logging, and Monitoring capabilities and strategy across enterprise applications and systems. The selected candidate will be managing and leading an organization of highly skilled engineers with a broad background in enterprise observability, logging and tracing, and advanced application integrated monitoring using multiple platforms and tooling.

As the head of the group, you will be charged with and responsible for the strategic review, analysis, and future approach to the solutions, as it relates to all components and facets of the stack and application integration assistance, guidance, and governance. Encompassed in the role is the need to govern, budget, and plan consumption based modeling, liaising with financial, business, peer, and vendor management groups accordingly.

We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and be required to be in an office 2x a week.

Responsibilities:

• Help analyze, review, and progress the overarching observability and monitoring arena with enabling technology and solutions, with an always-on and cloud-first/cloud integration methodology.

• Ability to set/drive technical architecture and be the final escalation for application and infrastructure teams when integrating and producing metrics, dashboards, and application framework monitoring via APM, RUM, synthetics, and base health and welfare

• Expert level of knowledge and skillset within the APM and observability area or infrastructure and application development

• Enabling and driving adoption with modern tooling (DataDog, New Relic, App Dynamics or similar) and ability to translate from legacy monitoring infrastructures and produce migration strategies and plans

• Influence centralized, standardized, consistent postures by evaluating current business requirements and scope and determining best practices and governance

Qualifications:

• 7-10 years experience interfacing with application and business teams with a focus on observability stacks and solutions with complex applications, products, and infrastructure

• 5+ years of experience leading diverse and technical teams, leading collaborative team efforts between appropriate groups to proactively resolve technology and application integration and dependence issues including but not limited to performance, infrastructure, resiliency

• Demonstrable ability to accurately and efficiently architect and implement multi-product integrated solutions to meet cross-business/application/platform needs

• Hands-on expertise of software technology design at a complex level

• Extensive application/SDLC background pursuant to integrating secure solutions, RBAC, and identity/authentication/authorization models and designs
